Cover me... I'm going in
Will I still remember how to do my job? And more importantly, will the people that work with me still remember how to do their job? Hmmmm....
Seriously though, great day on the picket line. Our gang at the transmitter site has always been abit "relaxed" so as per Arnold's instructions, it became even more relaxed today. How is that possible, you ask? Let's just say a little something in the coffee to take off the edge seemed to be called for. A little toast to an end in sight.
From what I've heard so far, this deal is a good one. For a lot of people like me, on an eternal contract with CBC, this deal gives me hope that I may very well have a career at CBC. After 13 years of working there, I'm just happy that I may finally be able to call myself a permenant employee. You have no idea how proud that would make me. I've been wanting that more than anything for the past few years.
My kids are ecstatic that this is finally over. They have been real troopers throughout this ordeal. They deserve a huge bonus. HUGE.
I just can't wait to get back in and get the show on the road. Literally.
